1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account on Tenant City, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. The service

Tenant City provides a property management platform for UK landlords, letting agents, and tenants. The platform enables management of properties, tenancies, compliance documents, maintenance requests, payments, and communications between landlords, agents, and tenants.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of information you provide on the platform.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws, including UK landlord and tenancy law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data.
  • Use the platform in any way that disrupts or damages the service.

5. Subscription and billing

Access to paid features requires a subscription. By subscribing you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable fees for your billing plan.
  • Provide accurate billing information.
  • Allow us to charge your payment method on the agreed billing cycle.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Free trial

New accounts receive a 3-month free trial with full platform access. No credit card is required during the trial. At the end of the trial you must subscribe to continue using the platform.

7. Data and content

You retain ownership of all data and content you upload to the platform. By uploading content you grant us a licence to store and process it for the purpose of providing the service. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

8. Disclaimer

Tenant City is a management and record-keeping tool. It does not constitute legal advice. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable landlord, tenancy, and property law. We strongly recommend seeking independent legal advice where required.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Tenant City shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or use the platform in a way that is harmful to other users or the service.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
